Ankristina Nogueira

Ankristina Nogueira was born in Rio de Janeiro on June 7, 1958, and from an early age, she expressed her artistic sensitivity through painting. She began working with oil paint as a teenager and, over more than two decades, developed her technique with depth and passion.

In 1988, she moved to the United States, marking a new chapter in her life and artistic journey. The following year, she studied at the Boca Raton Museum. Even while pursuing a career as a producer and entrepreneur, she remained deeply committed to painting and to her creative path.

In the U.S., Ankristina began exploring new visual languages using acrylic, gel, and mixed media techniques. She also studied under teacher Genie Appel and, in 1999, had a major exhibition with sold works and experienced an artistic immersion in Florence, Italy, under the mentorship of renowned professor Gianfranco Mello.

In 2020, she fulfilled her dream of opening her own gallery, but the 2021 pandemic reshaped her path. It was during this challenging period that the Heart series emerged — an explosion of colors, textures, and emotions inspired by the universal need for love, care, and hope.

Ankristina transforms moments of uncertainty into creative power. Her work offers visual experiences that deeply touch those who encounter them — pieces that inhabit both gallery spaces and intimate environments, always with the intention of healing through beauty.

Living between New York and Rio de Janeiro, the artist continues to expand her international journey through new exhibitions and projects across different territories. Her art remains an invitation to sensitivity, affection, and transformation — a continuous gesture of enchantment that seeks to reimagine the world through color.
